From Prison Notebooks & Truth and Power

Both articles encompass the idea of how social class and power strongly influences the truth in society. In a sense, the more socially inclined often state facts. On the other hand, the lower social classes facts are considered more like opinions. Why does society work this way? The social pyramid looks like a pizza. The tip of the pizza is always eaten similar to how the top of the social pyramid always has a say. The rest, like the crust and the lower class, is often thrown away and taken for granted of. It is very rare for someone to have a say in the lower class like how it is to say that the crust is more delicious than the cheese and sauces on the rest of the pizza. However, I believe that there should be a balance between the classes and the facts stated in society. The crust of the pizza is not bland if we dress it up with ranch or cheese. The lower class should not be looked down upon, for they have facts too. Everyone has facts. This is fact.
