       Boyd's article on Meme warfare describes the properties of a meme and its effectiveness in carrying out a message to the people of the 21st century who have access to the internet. Dominguez's Electronic Disturbance involves the activism and critique of a political issue that must be addressed and made aware of through the use of the internet and social networking sites and offers the users insight to perpectives of the situations that are occurring that the news otherwise wouldn't state. Both forms of expression have helped bring awareness to social and political events that must be addressed. Although memes have been effective in bringing awareness of the situation to the public, it must also be said that the interpretations and notions people have on the meme may misconvey the purpose of the issue. Electronic activism, on the other hand, allows people to gain insight of significant events that are occurring within the United States today. Without electronic activism, we would only be hearing the opinions of cooroporate news networks and their bias perspectives of the situation. Electronic activism has also broadened the scope of the people, since it allows people to look at and evaluate situations on many perspectives and sides. Some of the flaws, however, is the online news presenting biased viewpoints and information that can misrepresent the reality of the situation. Both memes and electronic activism has been prevalent in Asian American studies when conveying the issue of whitewashing in the U.S., since both memes and electronic activism critiques the situations and exposes the threats an fallacies within the notion. For the powerless, the memes enable the public make aware of and criticize the situation for its injustice. However, electronic activism enables the people to see and understand the significance of the issue and why "Hollywood whitewashing on Asian characters" need to be addressed. Amongst the many fallacies that occurs when the director possesses and changes the narrative of the original work, it is important to realize that the culture and the identity/personality of the characters do influence the plotline. This means that when the character is misrepresented, in a way, the culture is also misrpresented. Another deep association that occurs with the help of electronic activism is that it exposed the fact that Holywood Whitewashing not only limits the opportunities of Asian Actors, but also enforces the stereotype of Asian submissiveness, the Model Minority, and the inferiority of the Asian race. In the process of countering such stereotypes and boundaries, memes and electronic activism has enabled people to understand the roots of the problems as well as critique the situation.
