Nam Le writing

in the reading, it is a story about a guy and his dad and the differences in their lives. it shows how very different their lives and perspectives are. how the son views the dad for what he did to the son at a young age such how he woke up his son. there is also a good amount of differences in how the father acts to his son after time apart. he makes comments about his apartment and his life. it would seem that there is a cultural difference since the son moved away and now there is a barrier or chasm between the two men. then he cuts to how the country views ethnic writing. it could be considered "hot" or it could be considered something that people are sick of. its an interesting aspect of ethnic lit, if people are sick of t, the possibility for that is that they don't understand why ethnic lit is important or interesting. they might also not be interested in learning things like that, but saying they are sick of it. that means they possibly just cant understand or are really judgmental of the people that write them thinking that everyone of these writers due to race have the same story. they also could be one of those people that ask why isn't there a white history month. there are many possibilities out there about the kind of person that could say these things. the writer first decides not to write like this in order to keep from that view. he decides to write about other things at first and then his experiences.
