Race Rebels/Weapons of the Weak

Nowadays, the media focuses more often on the violent resistances rather than the smaller and peaceful resistances. As a result, these larger, reckless ones overshadow the passive resistances, and as a result, that shapes the perspective and idea of the viewers into something negative. Resistances don't always need to be tense and aggressive to meet their goals or make their point. Explained in the two readings, passive and peaceful resistances can do just that as well. As talked about in Kelley's, McDonald workers had a small passive resistance against the bad working conditions, but that did not do much since it was a small group. However, as more people rallied and more passive resistances appeared, they eventually were able to meet their goal. In addition, they were also able to have a good time doing so, which is way better than having a violent resistance and ending up being detained and such.
