In current stigma of resistance, it is seen as atrocious and violent. When the media mentions resistance, it tends to enhance the riots and the loitering of ignorant protestors. However, historical resistance was beautiful because it brought solidartity and unification of agreements.
There are several forms of resistance. There is peaceful resistance which was exercised by men like Ghandi and Martin luther King Jr. We see clips of 1960's where people of color and white Americans linking arms and approching the superorindate.
When I think of resistance, I imagine a congregation of people pleading for change because they have been marginalized my the systematic hierarchy. I felt like nothing could be changed, if the group is not large in order to make noise.
However, Scott explains the everyday form of resistance, which is informal resistance. Resistance can come in varying levels; from foot-dragging to resisting from arrest. In this case, I have resisted many times from those considered to be superior. For example, I am not sharing any media related to Donald Trump because I know it feeds into his ego. This is my subtle form of resistance. It can be in unconscious forms as well. Kelly describes job while working in McDonald. She explains how everyone were Chicano and African American and they never put in full effort, it was always the bare minimum. This is resisting the manager and corporate.
No matter at what scale of resistance occurs, it is still making a change because the outcome will always be different depending on how to do something.
