typed, stapled, double spaced in 12-point Times New Roman font with 1 inch margins. We
will be using MLA citation style for
this course. The MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers, 7th edition provides guidelines
for this citation style. You can also use the online resource: http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/747/01/ (the Owl at Purdue).
Do Not Plagiarize:
Representing another student’s work as your own or using other
resources and not properly citing them is defined as plagiarism. So don’t do it!
Disability Accommodations:
Please contact the Student Disability Center at
160 South Silo. I will correspond with you to accommodate all your needs.
Last Thoughts:
This course is designed to force you to ask big
questions and hopefully sharpen your critical thinking skills. With that being
said, there may be elements of this class that
might make you feel uncomfortable. If you have
any concerns please feel free to contact me via e-mail or office hours. I look
forward to a lively and engaging quarter with all of you!
