In the continuation of Kelly Loves Tony,  Kelly and Tony are starting to have arguments. Tony does not understand why Kelly has to go to school. Kelly gets pregnant again, but because of their culture, no one understands why she doesn't want to keep the baby and Tony and his family are all really happy and excited for the new baby. So kelly drops out of school to raise her new baby. Kelly is also expect to help out at Tony's house, even though she feels uncomfortable around his family and she doesn't like living there. It is their culture for her to show that she is capable of helping out for the family before she gets married. Kelly is getting upset that they keep postponing their marriage but Tony is happy just being engaged. In the reading "The Gendered Limits of Consumer Citizenship", it describes how in movies and the media Asian women are hyper sexualized and men need to boast their masculinity. For example, there are may spreads of Asian women in bikinis with fancy cars.
